Tired of the highs and lows of that business, he took a look around his cruising grounds at the stunning homes of the Hamptons and founded a successful career as a custom homebuilder.
When it came time to reward himself with a yacht, he toured production yards and became frustrated with the lack of customization available. So, he built his own.
Outer Reef Yachts was born from this experience.
