After establishing Glacier Bay in 1990 and growing it into the world’s largest builder of catamarans, Larry Graf began to tinker with what would become the foundation for his next business venture.

Aspen Power Catamarans launched in 2007 with a proa-hull design—two dissimilar sized hulls powered by a single diesel or outboards. The designs reduce drag, save on overall weight and dramatically increases fuel efficiency.

Larry is also addicted to adventure cruising on his own creations. He has set records for circumnavigating Vancouver Island, round-tripped over 1,000 miles on the McKenzie River to the Arctic Sea, delivered a new build from Washington state to Marlyand with a long stop in the Sea of Cortez, and led an armada of his Carbon Cat tenders over the Columbia River bar nearly 500 miles to Idaho.
