Nordhavn said its new 59-foot Coastal Pilot is nearing completion and will ship from the factory this spring.
Jim Leishman, vice president of Nordhavn manufacturer Pacific Asian Enterprises, traveled to the South Coast factory in China and shot some raw footage of Hull No. 1, which is in the final stages of construction.
Nordhavn said the semi-displacement boat is set to reach speeds of as much as 20 knots.
Leishman said he plans to visit the factory in the coming weeks for another walkthrough and will provide more video documentation of the first hull.
“It’s going to be a very exciting and complementary model to our Nordhavn lineup,” Leishman said in a statement.
