On a recent trip to Roche Harbor, Wash., we got to be part of something special: it was the world’s largest gathering of Selene Yachts.
Overseeing this grouping of over 3 dozen Selene trawlers was the mind behind all of them—yard founder, designer and CEO Howard Chen.
After a weekend of educational sessions, individual yacht tours and impromptu gatherings, we were thrilled to have Chen join us for a cruise to Canada’s Gulf Islands onboard Selene’s latest build, the contemporary styled 60 Ocean Explorer.
Chen—who is joined by Selene Americas President Wayne Goldman—fills us in on the expansion of the yard, the many customizations that owners can choose on their builds, new projects in the pipeline, Selene’s unique running surface and more.
