Helmsman Trawlers of Seattle has launched its 43 Pilothouse, an expanded version of the popular 38 Pilothouse with NBA headroom.
“Its creation was inspired by the many times we’ve heard ‘I love the 38 Pilothouse but need two staterooms’,” says Scott Helker of Helmsman.
“So we’ve retained features that make the 38 Pilothouse appealing: a richly nautical interior design and construction; a unique day head accessible from the salon; spacious ‘low rise’ pilothouse with good visibility aft to complement outstanding forward visibility; social seating in the pilothouse; open interior layout; safe and easy access around the exterior of the boat with no ladders; the large flybridge and boat deck; increased capacities for fuel and water.”
Helker says headroom is about 6 foot 10 inches throughout, higher than the 38’s.Standard propulsion is a Cummins QSB 6.7 litre 250 hp engine.
