Though it probably shouldn’t need to be stated, the listing specifies that Meadowlark is not an amusement park ride, nor was she actually built for premium overnight accommodations, thus the accommodations may not be appropriate for everyone. In fact, disappointments for Marriott Bonvoy Elite members may include low ceilings, several tedious steps up and down to various rooms, and a salty “boat” ambiance. But what do you expect? After all, she’s 80 years old.
During the winter months, the boat is heated (score!), but “not all areas are equally warm, so layers and slippers are highly recommended.” Also, the “pilothouse and galley are quite comfortable, the bunks are dry (what a world!), and bedding is deep and luxurious.”
Be sure to enjoy the shower, which is situated outdoors and boasts ample hot water for a 5- to 7-minute “experience.” Though shower shoes and a robe are highly recommended.
