In the early hours of August 7, 2019, the 185-foot superyacht Lady D, anchored at Phuket Grand Marina, Thailand caught fire. The extent of the damage remains unclear, although the fire has been confirmed extinguished and all crew members left the ship safely. No injuries have been reported so far.

Lady D has an interesting history. She was originally constructed in 1976 as a US Coast Guard Inspected, ABS classified offshore oil field supply vessel and was reconfigured and reconstructed in 1989 as an ocean-going yacht, accommodating up to 14 guests in seven staterooms.
