Crafted in Auburn, Washington, the two-stateroom Ranger Tugs R-43 CB builds off the seaworthiness of other Ranger Tugs designs while incorporating more living space. Her outdoor gathering areas shine and feel roomy thanks to a beamy build that doesn’t taper much as the lines move aft.
Ranger Tugs offers just a few options, with most of the popular features being standard, including an upgraded Garmin electronics suite. Options include a Bimini top for the flybridge, a forward sunshade, a factory-installed gyrostabilizer, a custom dinghy and engine package and a Sionyx night vision camera. Owners can also choose a custom hull color.
The 43’s systems make docking a breeze. She has twin 340-hp Volvo Penta IPS450 pod drives, joystick controls and, in the Command Bridge version, upper and lower helm stations. (A sedan version also is available.) For exploring anchorages, the 43 can accommodate a tender up to 12 feet.
According to the builder, the 43 cruises between 16 and 25 knots, and will top out at 29.3 knots. Ranger Tugs also offers a factory delivery experience that includes, among other things, a full day of systems and operational training.
