The American Tug 362’s 14-foot, 4-inch air draft (with mast down) makes her an ideal model for Great Loopers and inland cruisers. But she has much more to offer, with the standard equipment of a bona fide pocket coastal cruiser.

She comes with a standard 300-watt solar panel, 2,000-watt inverter/charter, bow and stern thrusters, Northern Lights genset, and more. A roomy galley and salon and elevated pilothouse, three steps up, are all comfortable perches for cruisers. The pilothouse is finished with a Lebroc helm seat and flanked by doors to the side decks.

Below decks, the 362 has a forward master stateroom has a walkaround queen berth and copious stowage. The port guest stateroom has a double berth. The settee in the salon converts to a double berth, giving the boat the ability to sleep six.

Driven by a single 320-hp Volvo Penta D4, she can top out at nearly 17 knots when one wants to escape poor weather conditions or snag a mooring in a popular cove. At slower speeds, the 362 is capable of impressive range: 1,565 nautical miles at 6 knots; 806 nm at 7.4 knots; and 497 miles at 8.4 knots, all with a 10% reserve.
