Built in 2008 at Conrad Shipyard, the 58-foot Gentleman is a steel tugboat with traditional lines, plenty of teak exterior accents and a warm, mahogany interior.

Developed in partnership with designer Juliusz Strawinski of Yacht Studio Strawinski, the yacht was built as a one-off from the Poland-based yard that is generally associated with its superyachts. According to the builder, the Gentlemen was crafted for a “particular kind of yachting connoisseur” that prefer classic lines and meticulous craftsmanship over speed and flashiness.

The 58’s pilothouse looks like the catbird seat for the captain, with a centerline helm equipped with a destroyer-style wheel and unobstructed views through large windows that ring the space. On warmer days, we’d be on the flybridge, where there are helm stations that flank each side, allowing the captain clear views during close quarters maneuvering.

Her belowdecks staterooms utilizes the same exquisite, book-matched mahogany found in the pilothouse and salon. Accommodations include a forward master stateroom with walkaround queen berth and a pair of amidship staterooms, each with twin berths. All of the staterooms are en suite.

Powered by twin 125-hp Yanmar diesels, the 58 returns a cruise speed of 8.5 knots and a top hop just over 10 knots. According to her builder, Gentleman has a range of 2,260 nautical miles at 8.5 knots.
