For nearly a decade, ElectroSea has been a leader in the fight against biofouling, launching a range of seawater protection systems and magnetic-drive pumps. With the ElectroStrainer Sport, the company is taking aim at DIYers and boaters looking to refit their vessels.
The ElectroStrainer Sport defends against marine growth with electrochlorination technology. Marine critters like barnacles, biofilm and others are repelled from taking up residence in all systems that are fed by raw water.
This product replaces an existing sea strainer. It includes an integrated control head with an LED screen that provides flow rate and an alert if the strainer needs attention; a biofouling protection device, which generates the chlorine using a chemical reaction as seawater enters the boat; a strainer basket; a lightweight canister housing; and a flow sensor. The ElectroStrainer Sport is available in two inlet/outlet model sizes based on flow rate. Options include a remote display. electrosea.com
