The new orders are an important milestone in establishing its Bulgaria-based shipyard.
In late 2023, Bering Yachts announced a new series of long-range cruising boats with its aluminum B60 Expedition Catamaran. The boat offered the spacious amenities of fiberglass cats matched to a tough metal hull, with a host of standard equipment and a transatlantic range.
The same year, the expedition yacht builder opened its Bulgaria shipyard and later consolidated its aluminum construction here, which includes the line of catamarans from 60 to 80 feet. With the recent sale of another B60, Hull No. 3 will join the two other 60-footers (and an 80-foot cat) currently being built at its now-bustling facility.

“These three new projects represent an important step forward for our team in Bulgaria,” says CEO & Founder of Bering Yachts Aleksei Mikhailov, “We’re proud to see the shipyard growing and taking on increasingly ambitious projects, with strong interest from clients across the globe.”
The B60 offers owners a range of layout options including a choice of four, five or six staterooms with variations on each. Layouts are customizable to accommodate a captain and crew, charter or expanded owner staterooms.
Other significant options include a choice of open or enclosed flybridge. Both versions of the boat can carry a RIB, dinghy or PWC on the boat deck aft.
The model’s 28-foot, 2-inch beam allows for a main salon with a galley, sofas, a bar, a dining table and a helm with adjacent lounge seating. There is comfortable movement fore and aft along wide side decks. A bow lounge area can be configured to an owner’s taste. The cockpit has space for lounges and alfresco dining. The swim platform’s center section can be raised or lowered for tender stowage.
Standard power is a pair of 425-hp Cummins diesels, which, the company says, can deliver a range of more than 3,000 nautical miles at 7 knots. Economical cruise is 10 knots, and top speed is 14. Draft is a skinny-water friendly 4 feet, 6 inches.
