
A Massachusetts man was charged with drunken boating after he ran his 50-foot Sea Ray into a rock in Boston Harbor. Paul Boulanger, 44, and his five passengers suffered minor injuries at impact and the boat sank.
The accident happened around 7 p.m. Saturday at a rock between Spectacle Island and the Long Island Bridge.
Marine authorities rescued the people and charged Boulanger with boating under the influence of alcohol.
According to police, the impact threw the operator, Paul Boulanger, 44 of North Andover, and five passengers forward. All were evacuated from the boat, and only minor injuries were reported at the scene, police said.
After the rescue Boulanger was arrested and charged with with boating under the influence of alcohol, according to police. Salvage crews worked on recovering the vessel through Sunday.
