Outer Reef Yachts attracted five boats and 75 people to its fourth annual Owners Rendezvous at the Charleston Harbor Resort and Marina in South Carolina during the first week of June. More boats would have participated were it not for the untimely arrival of Tropical Storm Andrea

The highlight of the event took place on Saturday evening with a tour of the USS Yorktown followed by dinner and charitable auction held in the hanger bay. “The USS Yorktown was a very inspirational setting for the evening’s fundraiser for the Wounded Warrior Project, a charity that is very close to my heart,” says Outer Reef President Jeff Druek.

“Thanks to the generosity of our owners and donations from our loyal vendors that we raised well over $40,000, meeting our goal to purchase two Action TracChairs for our wounded warriors. I want to once again personally thank all of our owners and vendors for their kind generosity in helping change the lives of at least two very special veterans and their families.”

The event concluded with a farewell breakfast on the outside terrace prior to the Outer Reefs vessels departing for the Bahamas and other ports of call.
