In 2012 the superyacht, Yogi, less than a year old sank off the coast of island of Skíros, a Greek Island in the Aegean Sea, with eight crew aboard. It was a sinking that shocked the marine industry as much mystery surrounded her loss after being highly lauded as an innovative yacht design at the Cannes International Boat Show just a few months earlier. Yogi, was lost in 300 fathoms of water in the middle of a winter gale in the early hours of February 17th. After producing a Mayday call around 0330, the boat slipped beneath the icy, frothy waters around 0845, shortly after the last crew member was rescued from the doomed ship by a Hellenic Air Force Puma helicopter.
