In an incredible display of seamanship and boat handling, a small tug running in reverse late yesterday towed a 90-foot Northern Marine expedition yacht backwards from the Anacortes marina turning basin in which she capsized Sunday night. The tug was pulling a salvage barge. The yacht, to have been named Bäden, was lashed to the barge and cables from a crane on the barge kept the yacht upright. Two small work boats aided in steering the chain of craft through a narrow entry in a breakwater.
A small sailboat anchored near the breakwater entry forced the tug to take additional evasive action. The yacht was to be moved north along the shore to an open area where a larger crane would lift the yacht and set it on blocks ashore. It may be hauled back to the Northern Marine shops later.
