After chartering wooden boats with his partner Keri Russell, “The Americans” actor Matthew Rhys decided to buy and restore one of his own: a 1930s Wheeler Playmate. As is sometimes the case, the project took much longer than he’d planned. After four years, and gallons of sweat equity, the boat is in the charter trade in New York.
