Sirena Yachts will introduce the newest member of its family on the docks in February, the Sirena 58 Coupe. Updated design features will include a lower air draft (making her an interesting proposition for tackling the Great Loop), a unified interior space on the main deck, and a light and airy interior.
The hull and superstructure design by naval architect Germán Frers features a contemporary plumb-bow design, modest freeboard and a fast-displacement hull that provides for substantial vessel range (exceeding 850 miles) at lower speeds of 10 knots, while still capable of top speeds in excess of 26 knots.
“This is a Category A, bonafide explorer yacht carrying Sirena’s unmistakable DNA,” said Constantinos Constantinou, head of Sirena in North America. “Featuring a uniquely efficient dual-mode hull designed for offshore cruising, the 58 is the only boat of its size on the market available with a twin-master lower deck arrangement. It’s also available in two distinct three-cabin arrangements, one of which features the designer’s ingenious split-level forward suite.”
Another important distinction is found on the main deck of the boat. With the 58 Coupe, Sirena wanted to unify the natural division between the aft deck and the salon and pilothouse bulkhead. “Without a staircase to the bridge, we were able to take advantage of the additional space by re-engineering salon entry doors in order to integrate the cockpit, galley and salon areas,” said Constantinou. The galley spans the entire beam of the aft interior area. The galley itself benefits from the extra square footage in the form of additional countertop prep space and additional under-cabinet refrigerator and freezer.
With a clever four-panel door that opens almost entirely, the space from the main deck helm through to the transom is open and at a single level. A shaded aft deck, by virtue of an overhang as well as an optional electrically-controlled sunshade, makes inside-out living the true benefit in this new design.
