Two boats “stuck” in Seattle’s Lake Washington have agitated local property owners, who told a TV news reporter the men aboard were homeless.

Meanwhile, the men insisted to a rival TV news outlet that they were not homeless, just down on their luck.

One of the men, Jason Price, told KOMO News that one of the boats ran aground at night, was holed and sank to the bottom because they ran out of fuel for the generator on the other boat, which was powering the sinking vessel’s bilge pump via a shorepower cord, which you can see in the photo at top. They have no money for gas. Then their dinghy was stolen.

“It’s not like we are homeless, we are wrecked here,” Price said. “We don’t want to be here, we want to leave.”
