Tony Fleming is a remarkable figure. He was a key player in the development of Grand Banks, and then went on to found Fleming Yachts. Tempermentally, Fleming is an artist and a perfectionist. Lately he has spent his time cruising the world on Venture, his Fleming 65. Whereever he goes, Fleming makes a video record, and, as it happens, he applies that same artistry and perfectionism to his films.
The following documentary, in two parts, records Venture’s recent transit from Alaska through the Panama Canal (above) to Nova Scotia. If you have the technology, you should cast “Alaska to Nova Scotia Aboard Venture” onto a big screen.
