Earlier this year, Hull No. 3 of Nordhavn’s 71-foot series splashed in Mexico and made her way to the builder’s Dana Point, Ca. yard for final commissioning. The owners plan on departing the Golden State, bound for the Pacific Northwest, Canada and Alaska.
Hull No. 3 gets a three-stateroom layout with a main deck master and a pair of staterooms belowdecks. Her owners chose the skylounge option (a fourth stateroom can be in place of the skylounge). The range of custom options include: a jacuzzi spa, a steam shower in the master stateroom and a LiON battery bank, to name a few. For true four-season cruising, there are heated floors throughout and a Kabola diesel heater system integrated into the chilled-water A/C system.
The list of standard equipment on the N71 includes: a pair of Northern Lights gensets, ABT hydraulic bow and stern thrusters, ABT fin stabilizers, two Maxwell windlasses and a 2,500-pound capacity davit to serve the boat deck. Powered by twin 250-hp John Deeres, the CE-A class vessel will have ocean-crossing range.
