The best way to get the most out of TrawlerFest-Bay Bridge Marina is to purchase a VIP pass. Being a VIP gives you access their choice of 23 seminars, every seminar except the Diesel engine and Hands-On Boat Handling . The cost is $375, but the seminar buying power is far greater than that, as anyone willing to go to the ticketing site and do the math will see.
For example, on Wednesday, Sept. 30, VIPs have a choice of taking the all-morning “Southbound on the ICW” seminar or the “Partnership Building: Planning and Docking” and “Apps for Cruisers” for two hours each. In the afternoon, you can take our four-hour “Emergencies at Sea Seminar.
Come back Thursday and you have multiple choices. You can commit one of two more team-taught seminars that stretch over two mornings into Friday–“The Boat Buyer’s Survival Guide” or the all morning “Basic Coastal Navigation for Husbands & Wives” and “Guns & Governments” and two more two-hour courses.

On Friday, Jan. 23, those who did not commit to the “Boat Buyer’s Survival Guide” have a choice of three tracks, either an all-morning seminar–pick between “Pacific Northwest Cruising for East Coast Boaters” or “Weather Basics for Cruisers” or two two-hour sessions.
The weekend offers two tracks as well. Either you can sign up for “Care & Maintenance of the Cruising Powerboat” conducted over both Saturday and Sunday mornings, or choose to attend a couple two-hour seminars.
The TrawlerFest boat show and seminar series happens at Bay Bridge Marina Yacht Club on Kent Island at the foot of Maryland’s magnificent Bay Bridge Tuesday through Sunday, Sept. 29-Oct. 4. The boat show runs Thursday through Sunday, Oct. 1-4, and includes booths displaying marine products and services.
The reason that seminars are only conducted in the morning beginning on Thursday is because that’s when our in-water boat show begins and we’d like to encourage attendees to go down on the docks and go aboard those vessels, but there is one exception that every VIP is welcome to attend at 3:30 p.m. Friday, Oct. 2. The “Cruisers Perspectives” panel discussion featuring some of the most experienced voyagers we know.
The VIP Pass also includes general admission, and admission to our evening parties and Dinner & a Movie Night.
